Job Title: Distributor, National Accounts Manager
Location: Remote – Chicago, IL is ideal, but will consider any U.S. state


OVERVIEW

The Distributor, National Accounts Manager supports the maintenance and business development of relationships with large, multi-location customers. This position is responsible for supporting the account to achieve and increase sales and assigned strategic account objectives. The Distributor, National Accounts Manager will provide sales support to the assigned Distributor account to drive and manage programs, provide category management analysis, support reporting and data sharing, forecast and assist with business planning, provide training on Libbey products and services, resolve problems with urgency, oversee execution of sales initiatives, expedite orders, and provide any additional support and assistance as needed.

The Distributor, National Accounts Manager focuses on the Distributor headquarters and interfaces with the Purchasing, Marketing, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service departments, with a particular emphasis on sales personnel both inside, outside AND store level, at the national, regional, district and local levels and within all customer channels within the assigned Distributor. Significant and ongoing collaboration with Libbey field sales is required to execute initiatives shared by assigned distributor and Libbey.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow sales and market share for a high-profile distributor customer, while focusing on new growth opportunities and margin expansion
  • Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with key partners within the distributor customer’s organization and key end users
  • Provide category management support including data analysis and special projects
  • Drive and manage customer programs
  • Meet with end users on site at their location, as well as our New York and Toledo show rooms
  • Develop and manage marketing programs and promotions
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Partner internally with Libbey’s pricing team to ensure equitable e-comm price to keep markets competitive
  • Support the National Accounts Sr. Director in the joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones
  • Provide solutions and problem resolution efforts to address customer needs, while coordinating the appropriate involvement of other functions
  • Support the assessment of distributor sales capabilities; develop partnerships with distributors to ensure alignment of sales goals and strategies
  • Participate in and support cross-collaboration project teams, addressing a variety of business needs including process enhancements, system initiatives and reporting
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute account-specific strategies to ensure success of the distributor and Libbey
  • Achieves strategic customer objectives
  • Drive process, promotion, and product innovation, setting the customer apart from their competitors
  • Train and educate the customers sales organization and related personnel on Libbey products and programs, as well as keeping sales involved and up to date on any distributor updates
  • Work closely with Libbey customer service and supply chain to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Relevant industry experience in foodservice – tabletop category preferred
  • Prior successful experience in field sales, preferably with a national or large regional strategic account
  • Experience developing and implementing impactful customer strategies, account goals and deliverables
  • Proven analytical skills to interpret data and market conditions
  • Self-motivated, resourceful team player, with excellent organization and multitasking skills, along with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work and adapt in a quickly shifting and fast-paced environment
  • Experienced developing, evolving, and executing strategic and tactical account plans based on customer portfolio and business needs
  • Innovative sales mindset with the ability to create and develop opportunities for the company
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a broader sales team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to make dynamic effective presentations to groups or individuals
  • Experience negotiating contracts with large organizations is preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office user capabilities
  • Must possess a valid U.S. state driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must be available for domestic U.S. travel up to 25% (Toledo, Chicago, Atlanta, and Houston)
