Reporting to Sr. Director of Strategy and Analytics Transformation, the Director of Strategy Development is a leader of a team in charge of driving the strategy setting process for North America, executing strategic projects across categories and functions, and supporting decision making for the Segment’s Leadership Team. This role is expected to partner independently with business leaders across a range of situations, including functional strategies, playbooks, and operating plans. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for developing and leading a team of Associate Directors, Managers, and Analysts deployed to North America’s most pressing priorities and building strategic and analytic capabilities across the organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Provides leadership in the development and execution of North America’s strategy

  • Guides end-to-end strategy development as a partner to business leaders and makes adjustments to existing strategies based upon new learning and changes in the competitive environment Own thought leadership for business problem definition, project scoping, analytical approach, and work-planning Direct and directly execute data analysis for delivery of strategic projects including financial modeling and insight analysis on large, complex data sets Interpret results from multiple project components and translate these findings into clear and compelling recommendations and solutions. Conduct interviews, lead brainstorming sessions, find critical business information, and help business leaders develop innovative approaches to their business. Add personal insight, galvanize discussion and debate across the organization on key strategic issues, generate ideas and creative frameworks, and use a combination of facts, judgment, and personal impact to build credibility and influence outcomes.

  • Take ownership for Program Design, Implementation and Change Management on select projects critical to our business strategy.

  • Bring best-in-class capability building vision to lead Strategy Development – from diagnostics, leading indicators, business impacts, and execution considerations

  • Manage and inspire a high-performing team of capability builders, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and professional development

  • Collaborate closely with brand and functional teams to perform analysis, build analytical capabilities, and enable effective decision-making, including Long-term trend analysis, Support of leadership engagements, Analysis of business performance, Competitive Intelligence analyses, Ad-hoc P& L, ROIs, & DPSM analytics

  • Change Management: Capable of understanding organizational dynamics, individual incentives, and barriers to change to implement new ways of working consistent with business priorities

  • Knowledge and Enthusiasm for K-C: Knowledge of the K-C organization, brands, metrics, etc.; enthusiastic about the potential strategic options facing Kimberly-Clark

  • Agile and Versatile: Demonstrated track record of success working in a fast-paced environment

  • Scope of Experience: Experience working in the context of a large, complex, global organization where working across functions and teams, and leading through influence are keys to success

Essential Knowledge/ Experience:

  • MBA from top-tier business school highly preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in highly analytical roles, including Corporate Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Insights and Analytics roles

  • 5+ years of experience building and leading high-performance teams

  • Direct experience at a CPG or retailer leading Strategy definition and analytics

  • Experienced in building high-performing teams that develop strong partnerships with stakeholders and encourage professional growth

Salary Range: 185, 780 – 240, 140 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
