Haulistic LLC is hiring a Senior Manager of Operations in Warrenville, IL. This is a full-time position.

The Senior Manager of Operations is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing transportation operations, compliance, carrier management, pricing strategy, service execution, and operational excellence across Haulistic. As a member of the leadership team, this role develops and executes strategies that drive profitability, enhance customer experience, strengthen carrier partnerships, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the organizations growth objectives. This position requires extensive expertise in third-party logistics (3PL), transportation management, carrier procurement, regulatory compliance, and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Business Planning Develop and execute operational strategies that support Haulistics short-and long-term business objectives. Partner with the President and leadership team to identify growth opportunities, operational efficiencies, and service expansions. Identify process gaps and design scalable solutions to support organizational growth. Lead operational transformation initiatives that improve productivity, quality, and customer experience. Drive a culture focused on responsiveness, accountability, and service excellence. Lead, coach, and develop managers and operational personnel across multiple departments. Promote cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing. Create accountability through performance management and KPI monitoring. Develop succession plans and leadership capabilities within the operations team. Transportation Operations Leadership Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all transportation operations, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Domestic, and International services. Establish and monitor operational objectives, performance standards, and key performance indicators to ensure service excellence, profitability, and sustainable growth. Partner with Sales and other departments to align transportation strategies with customer needs and market opportunities. Oversee transportation pricing, capacity planning, carrier network optimization, and operational performance to maximize efficiency and margin. Provide executive oversight of domestic and international transportation activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and service continuity across all modes.Maintain and strengthen strategic partnerships with carriers, transportation providers, agents, station partners, and other business partners to support service execution, expand network capabilities, and strengthen Haulistics market position. Stay current on transportation, logistics, technology, regulatory, and market trends by monitoring industry developments and attending external conferences, forums, and professional events; apply insights to proactively adjust operational strategies and support business growth. Serve as the senior escalation point for significant operational challenges, service disruptions, and customer-impacting issues. Compliance, Risk Management, & Contract Administration Provide executive oversight of Haulistic's compliance, risk management, cargo claims, insurance, licensing, and contract administration functions. Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and procedures that ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and support operational integrity and organizational growth. Monitor regulatory and legislative developments and advise leadership on potential business impacts, compliance obligations, and risk mitigation strategies. Oversee carrier compliance programs, claims management activities, and insurance partnerships to minimize operational and financial risk. Lead relationships with insurance brokers, and other external partners regarding claims resolution, coverage strategy, and risk management initiatives. Provide strategic oversight of customer, carrier, vendor, and other commercial agreements to ensure alignment with business objectives and protection of organizational interests. Education: Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business Administration, or related field required. Experience: 10+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or third-party logistics (3PL). 5+ years of experience leading multi-functional operations teams. Demonstrated experience overseeing the following areas: Truckload operations, Less-than-truckload (LTL) operations, International Freight, Carrier Compliance, Claims Management and Carrier Procurement. Experience leading operational improvements in a growth-oriented organization. Strong knowledge of Highway, DAT, Trucker Tools, TMS, CRM, and reporting and analytics platforms such as Power BI.Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Copilot and other automation tools to optimize workflows, reduce manual processes, improve reporting capabilities, and support scalable operational growth. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Extensive knowledge of transportation operations, compliance, risk management, and carrier relations. Strong leadership, strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight skills with the ability to drive growth, profitability, and service excellence. Ability to develop scalable processes, optimize transportation networks, manage risk, and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated expertise in carrier management, pricing strategy, contract administration, regulatory compliance, and customer relationship management. Advanced analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies. Proficiency with transportation technologies, reporting tools, business intelligence platforms, and AI-enabled solutions, including Microsoft Copilot, to improve operational efficiency and business performance. Ability to create trusted relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners while promoting a cohesive culture of engagement, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build, maintain, and leverage productive partnerships with agents, station partners, carriers, and other external stakeholders.
