Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Production Supervisor - 3rd shift at our Corrugated facility located in Mt. Olive, IL. The Production Supervisor will utilize leadership, operations experience, and communication to identify and convert change improvement opportunities related to people, process, and systems in a union environment.

This position will support the 3rd shift Corrugator, starting Monday night at 11: 00pm - 7: 00am with occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What You Will Do

  • Lead an operating team in compliance in safety, health, environmental, and quality
  • Foster a culture based on our Principled Based Management (PBM®) Philosophy
  • Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents and participate in resolution of causes
  • Coach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and production
  • Ensure best practices are followed for minimization of waste at machine centers
  • Address key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time production
  • Plan, assign and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback as needed; assist in resolving complaints; hold employees accountable as needed; communicate issues and results on a daily basis


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Proven experience leading or supervising teams in manufacturing, production, industrial, or similar environments OR military environment
  • Familiarity with corrugated, converting, packaging, or related production operations


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree, relevant certifications, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency with productivity and office software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, or comparable platforms


This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

For this role, we anticipate paying $80, 000- $95, 000 annually. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
