Encadria Staffing Solutions is seeking Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician to work at Molex in Belvidere, IL
This role will service milling and molding machines and all auxiliary equipment. This position will be responsible for standard operating/production procedures, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance Department. This position will provide maintenance support to all areas of operation and will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance efforts as well as building maintenance and keeping staff comfortable and safe. This position is a cross-functional role and will work closely across the organization to help ensure efficient operation, smooth workflow, and exceptional quality output. To be successful in this role, one must have a working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, welding, HVAC, and boiler systems and repair.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Monitor, inspect and service company equipment and machinery, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Controls downtime by effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing problems quickly and accurately to maximize equipment availability. Troubleshooting includes large hydraulic pumps and valves, motors, air compressors, and hydraulic machine controls.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties including the upkeep and organization of maintenance records.
- Perform building and facilities repair and basic building maintenance.
- Completes changeovers on production lines by following changeover check sheet and recommends modification to the sheet.
- Performs routine daily setup and adjustment of all production equipment.
- Capable of performing welding, small fabrication, and designs to correct root cause failures using maintenance shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking inventory levels; anticipating needs.
- Proactive by keeping a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Support, comply and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safe procedures, safety protocols, and all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements including LOTO procedures.
- Inform supervisors and shift leaders of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherit dangers involved.
- Assist other personnel with technical troubleshooting.
- Provide training to technical associates within the facility when necessary.
- Ability to read hydraulic schematics, electrical schematics, and troubleshoot equipment performance.
- This position will be predominantly assigned to the indicated shift but must be able to work any shift and overtime as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or General Education Degree with a two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or four-year equivalent work-related experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Possess a strong maintenance ability and aptitude to apply mechanical and electrical principles in various troubleshooting and repair activities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Must demonstrate autonomy - ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented - ability to pay attention to minute details of a task.
- Must be flexible with new ideas and have the ability to work weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, procedures, and policies.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and drawings for use in equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
- Demonstrated understanding of welding, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Ability and knowledge to safely operate forklifts, power tools, hand tools, and any other equipment required.
Temp to Hire
Pay: Based on experience
Shift: Monday-Thursday: 4am-2: 30pm, mandatory overtime on Fridays
Physical Requirements
- Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to twelve hours per day.
- Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
- Will lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Require to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
