Key Activities/Responsibilities:

1. Develops, maintains and revises planning and reporting documentation, procedures and systems that relate to the assigned product lines.
2. Maintains a safe working environment through improved housekeeping, 5S initiatives, enforcement education of safety regulations, plant conduct rules, methods and layout improvements.
3. Directs subordinates in the management of their assigned responsibilities to achieve production goals and strategic plan goals.
4. Analyzes the product design and the associated operations methods, procedures and processes with respect to safety cost, quality, reliability and availability; takes corrective and preventative action as needed.
5. Implements Lean Manufacturing techniques (KANBAN, one-piece flow, 5S, daily attainment, management by daily improvement) to ensure on time availability of product to customer.
6. Coordinates production processing and product problems with Manufacturing Engineers and work cell employees to ensure timely resolution of problems.
7. Coordinate inventory control measures (DemandFlo, KANBAN, part obsolescence) to achieve inventory turn objectives.
8. Coordinates departmental quality meetings to review and address quality issues as they arise.
9. Works with Purchasing and Support Shops to obtain delivery dates on parts and verifies the accuracy of the scheduled due dates for both parts and final products.

Education Requirements:

• Associates Degree or Technical Degree in Business, Engineering or a Manufacturing related field
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• In lieu of degree, equivalent manufacturing environment experience for a minimum of 5 years required.
• Formal training in production and inventory control system preferred

Job Experience/ Skills:

• Previous experience and proven track record in two or more of the following categories:
  • Production planning in a Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Master scheduling in a Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Production supervision
  • Manufacturing, Industrial, or Quality Engineering
  • Project Management
  • Group Leader experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Use of computers and software such as MS Office
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Salary Range: $60, 841/yr - $86, 916/yr + Bonus
