Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day HR activities for Corporate Headquarters and muti-state remote workforce including: recruitment & selection, onboarding, health & welfare benefits, associate relations, absence management, performance management & corrective action, change management, training, exit interviews, etc.
  • Together with the HR team, shares responsibility for recruitment, selection and onboarding of talent for all levels of the organization. Participates in new hire orientations/coordinates onboarding schedules as required.
  • Provides support for Company-wide health and welfare program including life event management, 401k funding and audit support and annual open enrollment prep, development of materials, launch and follow up; assists with periodic audits of benefit programs.
  • Collects information relating to leaves of absence/disabilities received from third-party vendors and distributes to local business unit HR leaders.
  • Initiates proactive relationships with business and management teams to identify opportunities to improve HR processes and results. Supports M& A activity for due diligence, on-boarding and integration activities.
  • Recommends appropriate changes in policies and procedures which leads to greater efficiency, cost savings and other benefits to the Company.
  • Assists in job evaluations, promotion recommendations, merit planning cycles, salary surveys and other compensation project management activities.
  • Works with management team to monitor and manage performance management process including identifying and addressing performance issues and managing performance review process.
  • Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of industry and HR trends, standards and “best practices.” Stays abreast of applicable human resources regulations and trends; utilizes this knowledge in day-to-day activities.
  • Researches and recommends new human resource programs and initiatives; introduces and implements approved programs/initiatives across the business.
  • Assists with management of the Company’s service and recognition awards program, matching gifts program and scholarship awards.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends. Maintains a strong control environment to ensure compliance with company key controls and policies.
  • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information and completing assigned tasks.
  • Provides administrative help to the rest of HR team where needed.
  • Performs other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Human Resources or related field desirable.
  • 2 to 3 years HR experience required.
  • Experience working in a corporate office environment strongly preferred; experience working in a publicly held company highly desired.
  • Prior experience working with HRIS and databases, including queries and reporting, is essential. Experience with UKG Pro core data management, Performance Management, Recruitment, and Business Intelligence modules preferred.

  • Sound organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks/ projects simultaneously while working in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in processing, analyzing, auditing and reviewing data.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively handle highly sensitive and personal information with sound judgement, tact and discretion.
  • Intellectually curious with high interest in learning; strong team orientation, possessing integrity and strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of benefits administration of at least 1, 000 participants highly desired.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
