As a Senior Research Analyst, you will perform supporting research in financial economics or related fields at complex level. You will prepare analysis in support of larger department projects. Compile data and prepare reports and forecasts. Develop recommendations and presentations on topics studied. You will contribute to multiple research teams and may serve as project leader for smaller scale projects or parts of larger efforts. You may assign and provide work direction and possess and apply broad knowledge of analytical concepts, practices and procedures to accomplish moderately difficult assignments.
The level of work is considered advanced and staff work under minimal supervision.
Your Responsibilities:
- Performs complex analysis and projections of financial, economic or demographic data
- Compiles data, and prepares written reports, graphs and charts
- Conducts market research, trend analysis and prepares forecasts
- Designs new analytical models, databases or applications
- Develops a variety of written materials from basic to sophisticated content for various audiences
- Frequently contributes to project teams and may lead smaller project teams as needed
- Performs other duties as requested
Your Background
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience as noted below
- Major in economics, business, finance, or public policy preferred
- Progress toward or completion of Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience with 2-3 years direct analysis experience
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Able to work on multiple projects at one time
- Excellent knowledge of business practices and statistical methods
Your Specific Technical Skills:
- Advanced MATLAB programming.
- Intermediate Stata, R, and Python programming.
- Intermediate SQL and Database Management.
- Intermediate LaTeX.
- Version Control and Test-driven development.
- Experience with Bloomberg, Haver, FRED

- The expected starting salary range for this position is between $94, 300 and $111, 500 annually in addition to annual performance-based discretionary bonuses. Final salary and offer will be determined based on the applicant’s relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.

Additional Requirements:
- This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of three days per week in office.
- This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job. These additional screenings would be initiated at the time of offer acceptance and can take approximately two months to be completed. The screening covers areas such as education/employment verification, criminal history, credit history, and reaches out to your references and people that know you well.
