As a Junior DevOps Engineer you will provide entry-level DevOps support for the enterprise logging platform's on-premises and cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for monitoring its availability, performance, recoverability, and security. The level of work is considered entry level and staff work under direct supervision. You will not have any direct reports.

You will report to the Information Security Data Manager.
This position will be titled internally as “NIT IS Engineer – Associate”.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of platform components.
  • Provide level 2 DevOps support. Monitor and report on platform and service metrics.
  • Advise team and management of platform and service risks and issues.
  • Monitor platform interoperability with supporting systems (network, security, storage, etc.)
  • Assist with testing of security updates, component upgrades, and new architectures Implement platform and operational enhancements, as directed.
  • Follow and contribute to operational support documentation.
  • Ensure all standards including change and risk management policies are followed.
  • Ensure service level agreements are met or exceeded.
  • Utilizes available tools for automation of manual processes.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours to support platform on ad hoc and rotational bases.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 0- 3 years of related work experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge: General knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area. General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies. General familiarity with security and event message logging, various operating systems, and scripting and automation.

Additional Requirements:

  • This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days per week in office.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
