Elgin Sweeper is hiring!

Description:

The successful execution of responsibilities directly impacts sales performance across all assigned sweeper models. This role requires a deep understanding designs and engineering of Elgin Sweeper portfolio, customer needs, the ability to develop and propose effective technical solutions, and RFQs that can be efficiently built and supported for the life of a sweeper.

Key Activities/Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and issue RFQ responses for customer-requested special options not currently included in the standard Elgin Sweeper options and accessories portfolio; establish estimated cost structures and target margins for special RFQs.
  2. Proactively guide customers and internal stakeholders toward existing standard options and accessories when feasible, minimizing complexity and promoting product standardization.
  3. Collaborate with Inside Sales and Product Data teams to review and update configurator-driven bid specification documents for accuracy and completeness.
  4. Evaluate customer-specific sweeper options and supplied chassis configurations; assess feasibility through cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and Product Management and communicate approvals or recommend viable alternatives.
  5. Define and create special part numbers and descriptions; develop preliminary cost estimates and establish target margin expectations for non-standard configurations.
  6. Build and maintain strong working relationships with Regional Sales Managers, ESG dealers, and chassis suppliers by providing accurate, detailed, and timely technical responses.
  7. Partner with Product Management to analyze trends in special requests; recommend and implement system updates to enable option standardization within the configurator.
  8. Maintain and update ERP/MRP system data to accurately define and support standard and optional configurations.
  9. Monitor Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to ensure configurator tools and product data remain current with design updates.
  10. Generate and distribute reports and analyses to support sales and operational decision-making.

Anticipated Salary Range: $85, 000-100, 000
