JOB DESCRIPTION

Combined Insurance, is seeking an Actuarial Student to join our fast-paced, high energy, growing company. We are proud of our tradition of success in the insurance industry of over 90 years. Come join our team of hard-working, talented professionals!

JOB SUMMARY: Assist in aspects of driving growth for our US, Canada, and Digital Distribution channels of sale including experience analysis, forecasting/assumption setting, and use actuarial product knowledge. Uses necessary software (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SQL, Power BI).

RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs fundamental actuarial tasks relating to rate determination, rating automation, experience analysis, and interpreting state filings.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics
  • Passed 2+ exams, actively pursuing Actuarial designation (ASA or FSA)
COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong math aptitude and business sense
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Reliability to achieve quality, accuracy, and timelines of work products
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other related degrees
