The salary range posted represents the low and high end of OSI's salary range for this position. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience and performance. Base salary is one component of OSI's overall total rewards package. Other components may include bonuses, special pay programs, comprehensive time off, 401k with match and a full suite of benefit offerings for you and your family.

Position Summary:

The Master Data Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and analyzing accurate and up-to-date customers, vendor and material master data within SAP and other ERP systems. This role ensures data integrity, compliance with company policies and procedures, and supports business functions that rely on high-quality master data. This role partners with cross-functional teams to support data cleansing initiatives, process improvements, issue resolution, and the implementation of best practices for master data management, while also providing data analysis and reporting to support business decision-making for North America and/or Global business.

Master Data Management & Governance

• Manage and maintain customer, and vendor master data in the SAP ERP system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.

• Review, validate, and approve master data changes in compliance with company policies, data governance standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Perform data entry, updates, validation, and cleansing activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of master data records.

• Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies, duplicates, and inconsistencies; implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Analyze data quality issues, identify root causes, and support continuous improvement of master data integrity.

• Own and continuously improve customer and vendor onboarding processes, including verification of payment terms, banking, tax, and contact information.

Data Quality, Analysis & Reporting

• Perform ongoing data validation, quality checks, and data cleansing activities.

• Analyze master data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs, performance metrics, and data trends.

• Translate business data requirements into actionable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Process Improvement & Documentation

• Develop, maintain, and enhance master data processes, procedures, and standards.

• Create and maintain data dictionaries and business glossaries to support consistent data definitions and usage.

• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency across master data processes.

Business Partnership & Support

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data requirements and define business rules.

• Support business users by resolving master data-related issues and inquiries.

• Provide training and guidance to users on master data processes, standards, and best practices.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with SAP and other ERP systems, with a focus on master data management; experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.

• Experience with data analysis tools and techniques, including data cleansing, validation, auditing, and reporting.

• Experience in SQL and PL/SQL for data extraction, analysis, and manipulation is a plus.

• Experience in Microsoft tools, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and advanced data analysis functions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data issues and propose practical solutions.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and maintenance activities.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Education:

• Associates degree or equivalent is preferred.

Work Environment:

• Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.

• Work conditions are typical of an office environment.

• This role does not require any domestic travel

• Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds

• Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.

• Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
