Description:

This role is responsible for multi-state payroll administration and processing ensuring accurate and timely payroll to our employees while maintaining the highest level of customer service and confidentiality.

Job Responsibilities

• Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports.

• Coordinate with various company departments and locations to obtain information. required to process payrolls and resolve employee payroll issues.

• Ensure proper processing of payroll deductions.

• Post and Close payroll timely.

• Process state mandated final pay.

•Process and maintain, interrogatory requests, withholding orders, wage attachments. and garnishment deductions.

• Create and balance third party payroll related files; including taxes (weekly and quarterly), child support and garnishments (ADP), 401K, NACHA, and bank positive pay files. Validate file confirmation receipts and resolve any files issues.

• Assist with all payrolls related general ledger transactions including creating the payroll GL files and general ledger account analysis for accuracy and reasonableness.

• Support reconciliation of payroll to the general ledger and banking statements.

• Maintain and balance payroll wage and tax recaps including analysis for accuracy.

• Assist with recording and reporting employee fringe benefits.

• Monitor unclaimed property and perform required communication with applicable. employees and plant personnel for resolution.

• Provide subject matter expertise with payroll projects.

• Maintain desk procedures and adhere to all internal control documentation.

• Interact with employees from all levels of the organization.

• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.

Experience & Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred.

• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.

• Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize and work under and meet strict deadlines.

• Efficient organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

• Effective problem-solving skills with a customer service orientation.

• GL and accounting knowledge relating to payroll posting (expense, liabilities, accruals).

• Payroll Software - UKG Pro experience required.

• Financial Software - SAP experience preferred.

• SFTP software - FileZilla experience preferred.

Education

• Associates degree or equivalent is preferred.

• High School Diploma with applicable experience or some accounting/finance higher education required.

• FPC Certification preferred

Work Environment

• Work is generally performed within a business professional office environment, with standard office equipment available.

• Work conditions are typical of an office environment.

• This role does not require any domestic travel

• Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds

• Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.

• Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours.
