As a Receiving Clerk you will assist in the achievement, and act in support of the company goals with respect to Shipping and Receiving department.
The Receiving Clerk essential duties and responsibilities:
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and forwards information to sales or purchasing to contact the shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of landing, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Forward the incoming paperwork with the actual counts to the office.
- Routes items to inspection with incoming paperwork attached.
Receiving Clerk Requirements:
- High School Diploma, or equivalent (GED).
- 3-5 years' experience at similar position.
- Ability to use measurement tools and counting scales.
- Knowledge of arithmetic.
