Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Intern

Location: Mount Prospect, IL
Department: Manufacturing
Schedule: 8: 00 AM - 4: 30 PM
Reports To: Engineering Group Leader, ATE

About the Role

Join Rauland as a Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting the design and development of manufacturing test equipment for new products. This internship is ideal for students pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree who want real-world exposure to circuit analysis, test development, and engineering collaboration.

What You'll Do
  • Assist in designing electrical tests and fixtures for new and existing products
  • Write and edit software routines using # (Visual Studio) for test applications
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies to evaluate circuit performance
  • Support failure analysis, debugging, and test design improvements
  • Analyze analog circuits and simulate digital vector patterns
  • Collaborate with circuit design engineers on DFT and device programming requirements
What We're Looking For

Required:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering bachelor's program (completed at least 2 years)
  • Experience with circuit design
  • Ability to program in C, #, Basic, or Perl
  • Understanding of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret IC datasheets and electrical schematics
Preferred:
  • Prior intern experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with microprocessors, flash memory, MAC addressing, and Ethernet communication
  • Experience with #, Visual Studio, and .NET WPF applications
