This position reports to the Senior Director Ethics & Compliance EMEA and will be based in either Issy les Moulineaux, France or Madrid, Spain.

Role reports to: Senior Director Ethics & Compliance EMEA

Location: Issy les Moulineaux in France or Madrid in Spain

What you will do

The Ethics & Compliance (E& C) Officer is responsible for the E& C program within Southern Europe (France, Spain, Italy, Greece, the Balkans, Portugal and Israel). This role requires a professional, who can partner closely with commercial and marketing teams to incorporate a strong E& C program within business processes . We are looking for someone who is a champion of change and motivated to drive continuous improvement. You will ensure that monitoring, mitigation and correction actions are in line with changing business needs and reflect the external environment and risk profile of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the E& C program, promoting compliance with the company's ethical standards and relevant regulatory requirements

• Report E& C program status to the cluster and country Leadership Teams and partner with senior business management to drive a culture of compliance within the organization

• Handle ongoing risk assessment, mitigation and management of compliance risk; manage Management Action Plans (MAPs) and Disciplinary Action Plans (DAPs) appropriate to the nature and extent of the deviations

• Work closely with Testing & Monitoring and Legal to enable effective monitoring of activities and investigations of sensitive issue

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive new business initiatives and integrate compliance within business processes, providing commercial and pragmatic advice to support business growth

• Manage compliant engagement with Health Care Professionals, Government Officials Third-Party Intermediaries (TPI), including implementation of appropriate due diligence, training and TPI lifecycle management

• Deliver guidance and training to employees on compliance issues and best practices

• Direct people management of a small team in EMEA

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years' experience in a compliance or relevant risk function

• Minimum of an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and industry standards

• Fluent in French; proficient in speaking, reading and writing English

• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

• High level of integrity with good ethical core values and ability to make difficult decisions and influencer across all levels of management

• Ability to work autonomously and navigate complexity and ambiguity within a matrixed organization

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Consumer Health industry, including sales and marketing

• Direct and in-direct people management experience

• Additional languages within the Southern European cluster
