The incumbent develops and maintains positive, collaborative relationships with supported health facilities' leadership and respective staffs, network providers, and healthcare beneficiaries within their assigned geographic area of responsibility. The role requires broad and specialized knowledge of the VA Health System, federal healthcare contracting, and the CCN operational environment to independently assess emerging trends, anticipate risks, and formulate recommendations that influence enterprise-level decisions.

Internally, the incumbent serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief, Military and Veteran Services and other members of the TriWest senior leadership team, providing expert guidance on VA healthcare operations, contract performance, and stakeholder engagement. Work is performed under broad direction with outcomes reviewed at the leadership level; the incumbent determines approach, method, and priority with minimal day-to-day oversight.

Education & Experience

Required:

• Master's degree in Health Care Administration or a related field
• 7 years of executive-level experience and leadership within the VA Health System
• Experience in planning and executing complex, large-scale federal healthcare operations

• Significant experience within the VA healthcare organizational environment and Community Care Network Contract
• Experience in leading VA healthcare operations at a strategic or enterprise level

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overarching support and guidance to MVS leadership staff engaged in CCN oversight and operations.
• Provide review and assessment of all Network Adequacy Meetings (NAMs) to ensure all risks and escalations are processed and appropriate leadership informed.

• Intervene with VA offices where necessary and as directed by MVS leadership.
• Assist and support the Vice President for VA Performance Management in monitoring appropriate CCN performance measures and keeping MVS leadership informed on all relevant matters.
• Collaborate with the Command Center to send, receive, and follow up on issues.
• Support contingency operations with the VAMCs and other duties as the ICMOP is further developed.
• Assist in engagement with VA/DoD and Services Leadership in CCN Regions 5 and 6 regarding network and operational matters.
• Provide a comprehensive perspective of CCN operations and performance and deliver recommendations to optimize the VA and customer experience.
