Grand Targhee Resort is hiring a Transportation Manager (Full-Time, Year-Round) in Driggs, ID. This is a full-time position.
SUMMARY This positionis responsible foroverseeing Grand Targhee Resorts Transportation Program. This includes daily shuttle service between Teton Valley Idaho andGrand Targhee Resort, airport shuttle service, andRIDE GTR program.A key part of every employee's job is to serve as a Targhee ambassador, engaging the guest at every opportunity. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may beassigned. Arrive at work on time when scheduled.Regularly transports guests and employees safely to and from designated areas.Recruit, hire, and train drivers for all shuttle services and transportation needs.Conduct regular training and ride-alongsto ensure consistent quality service.Proactively plan, implementand executeschedules for all Resort shuttle servicesthat support resort activities both in-season andoff-season.Supervisestaff to ensure continuity within all transportation programs.Adhere to all FMCSA regulationsregardingsafety and record keeping.Oversee and coordinate all public transportation components of Grand Targhees Transportation Demand Management plan, fulfilling the partnership & reporting requirements between the Resort, Teton County WY, and Teton County ID.Work with Director, the City of Driggs and Teton County, Wyoming to obtain funding for public transit.Obtain and keep up to date a Wyoming Class "B" Drivers' License with passenger endorsement.Fill in as a driver in any of the transportation entitiesifthe needarises.Develop and execute a shuttle service within Resort boundaries to transport guests from parking lots to base area.Work with salesdepartment todevelop andexecuteGTRs airport shuttle service. Work with salesdepartment to develop and execute Ride GTR shuttle service.Adhere to safety rules to ensure safety of guests, employees and equipmentFlexible working hours. Some job sharing may be required. RESPONSIBILITIESTO SAFETY: Protect the safety of self, co-workers, and Grand Targhee Resort guestsat all times.Report any potentially harmful equipment or situations to the immediate supervisor without delay.Report safety-related accidents and incidents at once to immediate supervisor.Follow all company and department safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Resorts Occupational Safety & Health Compliance Manual and department-specific procedures or manuals.Operate equipment in a safe manner that will not lead to injury to yourself or others.Drive in accordance withthe law and Grand Targhee Resort policies. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises +/- 15employees in the Transportation Department.Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe resorts policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. WORK SCHEDULE Due to the nature of the recreation industry, we are in operation seven days a week. This includes weekends andholidaysand there is no guarantee of hours. Flexible working hours may berequiredbased onthe businesslevels. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Wyoming Class "B" Drivers' Licensewith passenger endorsement. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, commonfractions, and decimals. Able to accurately read and make measurements. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability towriteroutine reports and correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Excellent verbal communication skills. REASONING ABILITY Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
