Responsibilities
Internal Investigations Program Management
- Serve as lead for the internal investigations program, functioning as administrator for the company’s CARE Line (confidential reporting system), ensuring accessibility and consistent responsiveness across all divisions.
- Conduct or oversee investigations into associate misconduct, policy violations, and sensitive matters involving management or business-critical functions.
- Assign and coordinate investigators, ensure consistency in approach, and oversee timely and accurate documentation across all business units.
- Review and approve final investigation reports to ensure quality and alignment with compliance standards.
- Lead training for internal investigators (including those in operations roles), using hands-on methods, virtual sessions, and materials tailored to manufacturing environments.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments of the investigation program and implement program enhancements.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and analytics to track trends, root causes, and corrective actions.
Compliance Culture & Communications
- Foster a culture of ethics and accountability across the company.
- Lead compliance communication campaigns (e.g., “Walk the Talk”), coordinate company-wide ethics surveys, and develop targeted messaging for operational teams.
- Create and deliver compliance messaging content that resonates across the workforce.
Training & Education
- Serve as the Regulatory Affairs Department’s point of contact for the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Design and manage Code of Ethics and compliance training with relevance across the workforce (e.g., conflict of interest, ethics, respectful workplace, anti-retaliation).
- Monitor training completion rates by site, department, and associate group; follow up with leadership to support compliance.
- Collaborate with operations, HR, and Legal to ensure training programs reflect regulatory requirements and operational realities.
Governance & Policy Oversight
- Lead Compliance Committee activities by developing reporting materials, participate in meetings by representing the ethics and compliance program as outlined in the DOJ guidance and compliance policies.
- Oversee the company’s Policy Management Program—ensuring policies are accessible, up-to-date, and applicable across workforce and locations.
- Partner with internal teams to promote awareness of new policies and implementation expectations.
- Facilitate cross-functional policy development and implementation.
Other Responsibilities
- Represent ethics and compliance in internal workgroups and operational excellence initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, product quality, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience conducting internal investigations and managing compliance hotline reporting processes, preferably involving distribution or manufacturing operations.
- At least 3 years of experience leading teams (three or more direct reports).
- Experience in roles requiring influence without direct authority.
- Knowledge of DOJ guidance for corporate compliance programs and best practices for public companies.
- Strong business acumen and effective communication style to influence stakeholders across all levels of an organization.
- High level of discretion, objectivity, and professionalism.
- Certifications such as CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) or equivalent or ability to independently obtain within one year from hire date.
Preferred:
- Prior experience in the manufacturing sector or with compliance programs in a regulated industry.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, EHS programs, or operational risk management is a plus.
- Proficiency with case management tools, LMS platforms, and compliance data analytics.
Working Conditions & Travel
- This role is onsite at our Boise, Idaho headquarters.
- This role requires up to 10% domestic travel, primarily to manufacturing sites for investigations, training, and program oversight.
