Clinic Receptionist- Aurelia Reports to: Patient Access Manager ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE: 32 to 40 hours weekly, 8 Hours shifts, 3 shifts/week in Aurelia and 1 shift/week in Holstein, IA POSITION SUMMARY: The clinic receptionist performs clerical, receptionist and scheduling duties, as well as provides assistance with the staff of CRC with the overall functioning of the clinic. Candidate embodies the Cherokee Regional Medical Center i-CARE standard of integrity, compassion, accountability, resourcefulness and engagement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone.Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette.Checks in patients for appointments.Registers new patients, providing them with registration forms and instructions as needed.Verifies and updates existing patient demographics each visit by collecting detailed patient information including personal and insurance informationSchedules patient appointments according to guidelines.Assists with the collection of copays and other account payments.Creates and sends patient lettersAssists with scanning or filing of documentation in patient charts as needed.Receives, faxes or distributes information to the desired patient or correspondent, including internal departments of the hospital.
