Description:

Join our dynamic team as a Calibration Technician based in our Cedar Rapids, Iowa Metrology Lab. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional to ensure our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

The Calibration Technician tests, calibrates, maintains, and repairs electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, measuring, recording and indicating instruments and related equipment for conformance to established standards.

What will you do:
  • Maintain scheduling of equipment calibration, work with customers and ensure equipment is calibrated and returned in a timely manner.
  • Maintain database of all equipment needing calibration.
  • Maintain CCT (Certified Calibration Technician) rating from ASQ (American Society for Quality) by attending classes and gaining annual training hours as required. May involve online, OJT or in-person attendance.
  • Perform Metrology related purchasing activities as required utilizing Purchasing systems or credit card.
  • Coordinate packaging, and safe shipping and receiving of measuring equipment that is calibrated at a third party.
  • Maintain competency in Fluke Calibration Management system after training.


What will make you successful:
  • An associate's degree in a field such as electronics engineering technology, electro-mechanical or equivalent experience in a Metrology department.
  • Hands-on experience with measurement tools and devices
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and maintain accurate documentation
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 is a plus
