The Audit Clinical Support Lead is a central role reporting into Head of Quality. The primary focus of this role will be to drive quality improvement and innovation. This will involve inducting, training and supporting auditors. The Audit Clinical Support Lead is expected to be an advocate of quality, coaching, mentoring, change management.

In this role, you will be responsible for analysing themes and trends from audit outcomes, reviewing cases received from Independent Audit, and liaising with internal teams and key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in supporting auditors, providing guidance, and ensuring that audit findings are effectively communicated and acted upon.

The ideal candidate will be a Clinical Support Lead (CSL) with PA3/4 audit approval as a minimum (PA3 audit approval is desirable). Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams are essential for success in this role.

  • Acted as a registered healthcare practitioner [nurse, physician, paramedic, physiotherapist, occupational therapist] in a CHDA assessment centre or equivalent
  • Experience in reflective practice
  • Evidence of promoting change and improving quality outcomes in current/previous role
  • Experience of dealing with difficult situations and delivering difficult messages
  • Qualified to perform PIP audits and case reviews and able to provide direction on how to complete reports that meet A grade requirements
  • Complies with all applicable continuous professional development requirements
  • Able to apply professional skills and manage own professional competence and accountability, in accordance with the appropriate governing body Code of Conduct
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing complex, multi-stakeholder environment - comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel and written communication skills
  • Performance driven with analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Able to build relationships and earn respect from peers and colleagues at all levels
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills
  • Understanding of PIP clinical policyProactive self-starter able to work independently
