Description:

Position Overview: Linde is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Production Technician to join our team in Fort Dodge, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a Liquid Carbon Dioxide Production Plant. You'll perform a variety of tasks including equipment operation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to operational excellence. Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift, with weekend and on-call responsibilities as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor Liquid CO2 equipment to ensure safe and efficient production. - Read and interpret electrical schematics, process diagrams, and one-line drawings. - Perform routine inspections, calibrations, and troubleshooting of process analyzers and control systems. - Conduct mechanical maintenance and light electrical/instrumentation repairs. - Monitor process performance and adjust to maintain product quality and efficiency. - Safely troubleshoot and maintain rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, fans, and valves. - Operate forklifts and man-lifts as needed. - Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual compliance and inspection tasks. - Execute equipment isolations, lockout/tagout procedures, and issue permits for maintenance work. - Drive company vehicle to perform pipeline locates and other field tasks. - Communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and other departments. - Work outdoors in various weather conditions. - Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools. - Strong electrical and instrumentation aptitude and hands-on experience with tools. - Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces. - Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. - Valid, unrestricted driver's license. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Associate degree in Process Technology, Instrumentation, or related technical field. - 3+ years of experience in industrial production or plant operations. - Experience with instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with control systems and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). - Proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
