Your Role: TechOps IT Analyst - R& D

This role, part of the North American TechOps team, provides essential IT support primarily for the Fort Dodge Manufacturing facility, with occasional support for other regional manufacturing, R& D, and warehousing sites. The TechOps IT Analyst will build strong relationships with business customers, especially R& D Lab teams, to identify needs and deploy and support appropriate information systems. Responsibilities include full lifecycle ownership for local applications and providing local support, validation, and release management for global applications, requiring deep technical expertise.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis & Requirements: Elicit, analyze, and translate complex business needs into technical requirements, advising stakeholders on optimal IT solutions and conducting cost-benefit analyses.

  • Technical Integration & Solution Delivery: Lead the development and integration of IT and Lab solutions, collaborating with subject matter experts to establish technical vision and balance usability with performance.

  • Project Management: Manage the full lifecycle of multiple IT projects, including planning, execution, and communication, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

  • System Engineering & Troubleshooting: Apply strong system engineering expertise, including knowledge of infrastructure, databases, and operating systems, to troubleshoot complex issues and streamline IT functions.

  • Strategic Collaboration & Best Practices: Critically evaluate user requests, network with IT resources to share knowledge and best practices, and provide leadership in developing integrated IT and Lab solutions.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • BA/BS Degree (IT, Operational Technology, Chemistry & Chemical Engineering ) or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

  • 3 years experience in Information Technology or Lab Technology infrastructure support.

  • Innovation — Job requires creativity and alternative thinking to develop new ideas for and answers to work-related problems.

What Will Give You the Competitive Edge (preferred qualifications):

  • Ability to accurately prepare written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging. Equally strong oral presentation as well.

  • Experience with Elanco established ITIL management tool (ServiceNow).

  • Computer System Validation experience.

  • Understanding qualification processes/ adherence to those processes.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing related computer systems and data.

  • Some on call work may be needed to support our 24/7 operations

  • Position will require exposure to production & R& D areas
