Supervisor (Nights)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Works with Plant Management to determine and administer accurate schedules for area and directs employees to meet the established production timetable. 2. Directs and administers proper set-up of all machinery, prior to beginning production runs; including installing and replacing molds as production schedule dictates. 3. Assures that machines are started at designated times and supplies and materials are available in order to meet production schedules. 4. Trouble shoots and provides initial diagnostic assessment of production problems, machinery adjustments and/or repairs. 5. Works with Quality Assurance to establish, monitor, and maintain quality standards and assures quality production in manufacturing throughout the production area. 6. Assures all new employees are trained on proper procedures and work requirements within the production area. Completes performance reviews with employees in a timely manner. 7. Responsible for training support and maintenance of operating system (ERP) for all operators and operations within the area. 8. Works as a leader in the Team, handling whatever assignments are necessary to meet production schedule. Assignments may include working in other areas, etc. 9. Professionally and positively communicates with employees and management. Responds to the needs of employees, as well as internal and external customers. Follows the designated chain of command when reporting information. 10. Serves as a positive example to other employees through proper compliance of company policies. 11. Projects enthusiasm about the company through positive interactions with others, including internal and external customers. Works hard to keep employee morale high and positive. 12. Monitors, manages, and organizes department supplies and equipment. Maintains organization and maintenance of safe, clean, and neat work areas. 13. Monitors safety issues for area, including communication of safety concerns to Management. Follows and ensures safe operating procedures for area including: proper loading techniques, employee compliance of personal protective equipment requirements, clean and organized work area, incident reports completed in a timely manner, and participation/support of company safety team meetings. Works with maintenance to make certain equipment utilized is well maintained. 14. Trains new employees on proper procedures and work requirements within the area. Completes reviews with new employees in a timely manner. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Is responsible for overseeing daily work activities of employees including Coordinators, Process Techs, and production workers. Coordinates daily schedules of employees. Conducts reviews for new employees assigned to area. Works with Production Manager on performance appraisals and/or disciplinary issues. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Past experience working with Rotational Molding equipment seven months to one year+, preferred. Previous experience operating and setting-up machinery equipment, preferred. Previous supervisory experience and/or training, desirable. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Certified forklift driver. The employee is occasionally required to operate a computer, use the telephone, sit, kneel, squat and lay. Frequent exposure to elements such as odors, oil, fumes and noise. Employee must wear required personal protective equipment, including hardhat, safety glasses with side shields, goggles/face shields, hearing protection in designated areas, Kevlar gloves, and/or other equipment as task dictate.
