Job Description
Delaware County Memorial Hospital dba Regional Medical Center is hiring a Public Health Nurse or Medical Assistant in Manchester, IA. This is a full-time position.
Schedule: 3-4 days per week, 24-32 hours per week (dependent on applicant preference) days of the week may varyday shift hoursno weekends or holidaysmay occasionally be on-call when the Administrator is out Wage Scales: RN: $32.14-40.60 LPN: $26.05-32.04 CMA: $22.38-28.15 Immunization Program Staff immunization clinics, providing direct care Assists with the management of Vaccine for Children Program Supervises recall/reminder of immunization caseload Assists with the development of immunization programs for general public Assists with the management of vaccine inventory Attends immunization education updates, as needed Acts as an educational resource Assists with preparation of I-4 immunization grant Communicable Disease Provides investigation, treatment, and follow-up of reportable diseases and outbreaks. Provides on-call availability, as needed Acts as an educational resource Community Health Assessment Conducts school and daycare immunization audits Provides follow up on complaints from the public that fall under the jurisdiction of Board of Health Participates in Community/Health Needs Assessment and Health Improvement Plan (CHNA-HIP) Process Conducts blood pressure/education clinics as needed Public Health Emergency Preparedness Facilitates Delaware Pandemic Influenza Committee Assists withFacilitate Public Health Emergency Planning Provides community presentations As a Health Alert Network (HAN) subscriber, evaluates HAN communication and follows up appropriately Participates in local exercises and after action reports Participates in Delaware County Disaster Recovery Committee and Delaware County Emergency Preparedness Coalition Coordinates Public Health role in sub service area 6A Healthcare Preparedness Coalition. Community Partnerships Participates in formal and informal community coalitions as needed. Participates in interdisciplinary team functions Communicates needs and provides in-service education as needed. Miscellaneous Assists with preparation of Public health grant applications. Provides educational information to community through press releases, news articles and guest of the day Assists with policy development and updates Is accountable to established mission and vision statements. Serves on hospital committees as delegated. Assumes responsibility for inventory and supplies necessary for the functioning of the division. Assists with the selection, use, maintenance, and repair of division equipment. Travels to meetings to represent Regional Medical Center and acquire necessary information as needed. Engages in continuous professional development and participates in continuing education activities.. Assists with research activities and the development of clinical proposals as directed.
