JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop policy, procedures, forms and related documents for new products.
  • Develop loss adjustment procedures, forms and related documents for new products.
  • Revise policy, procedures, forms, loss adjustment procedures and related documents as necessary for existing products.
  • Prepares filing materials and files all products with the respective Sate Insurance Departments.
  • Develops and maintains library information to support current and new product lines.
  • Works with FCIC in meeting the requirements of the Standard Reinsurance Agreement of new MPCI endorsement products.
  • Coordinates new product development with all necessary departments.
  • Assists in training and support of Division offices for new products.
  • Updates and maintains Rain and Hail forms. Verify that federal forms meet FCIC requirements.
  • Maintains current knowledge of procedures and policy provisions for all product lines.
  • Serves as a resource person for forms, procedures and policy provisions.
  • Serves on industry committees as directed by Product Manager.
  • Responsible for addressing all Jira requests and responding to all email messages. Informs all appropriate divisions of questions and answers to ensure uniform application of procedures.
  • Review and assist in responding to RMA draft bulletins, policy provisions, handbooks etc.
  • Review internal company materials to assure they are correct and accurate (i.e. common agent training manuals, marketing brochures etc.).
  • Assist the marketing department with reviewing and updating training material and all brochures, pamphlets etc.
  • Assist with any rating or data analysis for any of the products.
  • Assist in coordinating Expert Reviews with applicable personnel and drafting a final report.
  • Assist with researching and responding to questions from division offices and IT.
  • Assist with drafting company positions for release to division offices.
  • Assist in assuring that the correct policy provisions are being issued to policyholders.
  • Assist in coordinating all new and revised form development.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of current spreadsheet software available in the computer industry and suggests improvements in Rain and Hail systems for handling data where appropriate. Ability to proficiently use Excell software is important.
  • Assists with all other duties as assigned within the Products group.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn Rain and Hail's products, services, and systems.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn underwriting policies and principles and to make decisions based on that information.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to learn and use insurance industry and company terminology.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and maintain positive business relationships with company personnel, outside resources, and customers.
  • Knowledge of the operation of a personal computer and software.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional.
  • Ability to be organized and multitask.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well with people in a team environment.
  • Ability to work from oral or written communication.
  • Ability to operate all office equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
