Description:
Automatic Systems Company is an Industry Leading provider of water, wastewater, and industrial controls systems with a proven history of innovation and excellence. We are actively seeking qualified candidates to join our project team. This position is responsible for coordinating all technical activities and end-to-end project management on assigned projects.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
- Conducts thorough audits of incoming orders in collaboration with the sales team, verifying the accuracy and compliance of all necessary documents to ensure a seamless transition from the sales phase to the engineering group.
- Develops comprehensive project plans, schedules, and coordinates all phases of assigned new projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and client expectations.
- Creates sales orders in company ERP system.
- Responsible for monitoring the submittal approval process with consulting engineers, equipment procurement, and production to meet the project timeline.
- Keeps product delivery dates updated in the company ERP and project management systems.
- Ensures effective communication and coordination of assigned projects between ASC operations group, manufacturers, and customers.
- Proactively identifies issues in orders and initiates corrective actions to resolve them, ensuring smooth project progression, and tracks progress through the life cycle of projects.
- Maintains and increases positive job margin through project completion.
- Assist project engineers with communications with consulting engineers and contractors throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- Basic experience in and understanding of the electrical field
- Electrical technology degree or related is preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant construction, engineering industry or similar experience. Prefer some experience in heavy civil or mechanical type projects and/or water/wastewater industry
- Post-college field experience in project management, purchasing, submittal review, and cost control/containment.
- Mechanically minded problem solver with excellent math aptitude.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage people and tasks in a deadline driven environment.
- Exceptional critical thinking and organizational skills
- Excellent communication with proven customer service skills to keep people and projects on task.
- Self-starter attitude, works well with limited direction
- Computer skills such as Word, Excel, Outlook as well as the ability to utilize company’s CRM, ERP, and project management systems.
