Job Description: Segment Marketing Leader - New Growth Segments (India)

Position Summary

The Segment Marketing Leader for New Growth Segments in India is responsible for identifying, developing, and scaling business opportunities in emerging industries such as renewable energy (solar, green hydrogen, biogas), e-mobility, smart infrastructure, and sustainable manufacturing. The role combines deep market insights, offer positioning, and ecosystem development to accelerate Schneider's leadership in high-growth sectors and accelerating ecosystem partnerships for the next-generation automation platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define segment strategy and marketing roadmap for new growth areas in India.
  • Conduct market research, size opportunities, and identify customer needs.
  • Develop value propositions and tailor Schneider offers to segment requirements.
  • Work closely with sales, business development, and global marketing teams to drive GTM execution. Enable sales and partners with marketing content, success stories, and ROI messaging in defined Segment.
  • Create segment-specific campaigns, events, and content to increase visibility and lead generation.
  • Engage with industry bodies, policy makers, and ecosystem partners to influence market development.
  • Track competitor activity, regulatory changes, and customer adoption trends.
  • Provide strategic inputs to offer development, localization, and pricing strategies.
Key Focus
  • Develop and execute SDA marketing strategy for the India market.
  • Position SDA as a transformational approach in industrial automation.
  • Engage with customers, SIs, OEMs, and tech partners to showcase SDA value.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15-20 years' experience in industrial automation, energy, or infrastructure marketing.
  • Strong understanding of India's emerging sectors (renewables, smart infra, sustainability).
  • Proven success in segment/vertical marketing and GTM execution.
  • Strong knowledge of automation platforms, edge/cloud solutions, and digital ecosystems.
