Description:

The Dynamics ERP Developer will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure our financial and operational systems are enhanced through tailored solutions. The Developer will take a hands-on role in designing, developing, and deploying customized solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F& O environment.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate these into technical requirements for the development team.
  3. Design, develop, and implement customizations and configurations for Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations to meet specific business needs.
  4. Customize Dynamics 365 F& O modules, including finance, human resources, and PMA. Configure workflows, forms, reports, and dashboards to optimize business processes.
  5. Develop and manage integrations between Dynamics 365 F& O and other systems using Data Entities, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and custom APIs.
  6. Utilize X++ for custom development, including creating and modifying forms, reports, and data entities. Develop and deploy custom business logic and functionalities.
  7. Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the accuracy and performance of custom solutions and configurations.
  8. Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for customizations, configurations, and integrations.
  9. Provide L3 technical support for Dynamics 365 F& O, troubleshoot issues, and resolve system-related problems.
  10. Collaborate with support teams to address user-reported issues and provide solutions.
  11. Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to gather requirements, offer technical insights, and ensure the successful implementation of solutions.
  12. Assist in the training of end-users and support staff, developing user guides and training materials as needed.
  13. Share responsibility with teammates for occasional after-hours on-call rotation for support of production-level systems.
  14. Be a part of the full application lifecycle (design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain) and innovate in each step.
  15. All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered. Minimum of five years of experience in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations development, including customizations and integrations. Competencies:

  • High level of hands-on experience with X++ programming language and development within Dynamics 365 F& O.
  • Strong knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations modules, including finance, supply chain management, and project management.
  • Experience with Power BI for reporting and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with Data Entities, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, and integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of SQL and data management best practices.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work successfully with teams across the organization.
  • Willing to learn new technologies and architectures and apply them accordingly.
  • Knowledge of backend development best practices.
  • Effective problem-resolution skills.
  • Unit testing and test-driven development experience.
