Job Title: GROCERY SECTION SUPERVISOR Division: Product Strategy Division Department: Domestic Foods Section: Domestic Grocery Location: HEADQUARTERS Reporting To: DOMESTIC FOODS DIV MGR FLSA Classification: Exempt Employment Type: Full-Time Revision Date: 08/04/2026 POSITION SUMMARY: Section Supervisor is responsible for providing expertise and resource to the store to improve the operations of the Domestic Grocery department. Also serve as a liaison between the Product Strategy Division and Store Domestic Grocery department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (responsibilities include, but are not limited to): Has functional authority over the Domestic Grocery Department Managers. Responsible for ensuring that the Domestic Grocery Division policies, standards, procedures and directives are being carried out to maximize sales and gross profit. Assist Domestic Grocery department managers in understanding their assigned duties and responsibilities. Identifies and analyzes department-related problems which may be arising from a variety of sources outside the control of the Store Director and Department Manager. Resolve these issues by working with the PSD Division, SSD Division and Store Directors. Responsible for the general appearance of the Domestic Grocery Department and overall merchandising techniques. Periodically monitors cases, signage, displays and shelf condition, ensuring that prices are correct and clearly marked and merchandise is properly rotated. Make recommendations on respective staff or managers promotions or transfers. Assist in formulating Domestic Grocery policies, standards, and procedures, ensuring all are complied with and will periodically review policies and standards. Ensures that the Domestic Grocery departments are complying with required government regulatory agencies rules and regulations and all safety guidelines (FDA, DOH, & OSHA). Oversee the Domestic Grocery Managers in their work processes (steps, tools/equipment, resources, and systems) to accomplish task/job in the Grocery area. Oversee the scheduling and determine the stores need for relief work in the Domestic Grocery staff. OTHER DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist Domestic Grocery Departments in organizing back stock/overstock, as needed. Assist Domestic Grocery Department with cleaning shelves and equipment, as needed. Assist respective CSM in analyzing category data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for product adjustments. As needed, will assist in any reset or renovation involving the Domestic Grocery Areas. Promote a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, and the community. Build and maintain open and honest communication within the organization. Perform other related duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION: High School diploma/GED; BA in Business, Marketing, Data Analytic or related field helpful. WORKING REQUIREMENTS: May have to work overnight, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays Occasional longer shifts due to business needs Must be able to work at any PPRM affiliated store on any island (Times, Big Save, Shimas Market, Don Quijote, Marukai). SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The following are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities: Held a responsible position of Section Leader or Higher in the Grocery department. Extensive experience and knowledge of the operations of the Grocery Department. Working knowledge of the equipment operated in respective sections. Good leadership abilities, maintaining good rapport and working relations. Working understanding in costing, margin, shrink, inventory controls and how it relates to profitability of the Grocery department. Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and remain organized. Strong understanding of retail merchandising principles and visual merchandising techniques. Detail-oriented with a focus on execution and consistency with the ability to multi-task. Experience in retail operations and understanding of sales trends TRAVEL: Valid Drivers license is required to travel between company locations. May be occasionally required to travel to stores on neighboring island. LANGUAGE ABILITY: Speak, read and write in English. Ability to effectively communicate and respond professionally both verbally and in written English. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Indoor (Artificial Lighting; Air Conditioned) Warehouse and other outdoor working conditions are not air conditioned and could reach temperatures of over 100 Degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months Walk in chill; temperatures between 30-40 Degrees Fahrenheit Walk in freezer; temperatures 10 Degrees below 0.
