Description:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead (m/f/d) - Data Privacy to oversee and ensure our organization's technology systems and data processes comply with the General Data Protection Regulation. As a pivotal member of our team, you will collaborate with legal, security, and engineering teams to embed data privacy and protection principles into the design and operation of our systems, while providing leadership in implementing secure and compliant technology solutions.

Your assignment:

  • Develop and implement technical frameworks to align systems and applications with privacy requirements (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA, DataAct, AIAct, etc.)
  • Embed privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles into all stages of the software development lifecycle. Be the go-to person in all data portfolio related topics, including strategy and roadmap questions
  • Implement and maintain technologies for encryption, pseudonymization, and secure data transfer
  • Design mechanisms for data minimization, access control, and secure data storage
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams in compliant system design and development
  • Provide technical expertise during compliance assessments, regulatory inquiries, and other related requests
  • Serve as a technical point of contact for the different stakeholder groups, e.g. legal team, quality functions, business

Your profile:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, such as Technical Privacy Lead, Data Security & Privacy Engineer, or Privacy Architect
  • In-depth knowledge of GDPR requirements and their technical implications
  • Expertise in systems architecture, data security, and privacy-enhancing technologies
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001 or similar
  • Familiarity with tools for managing data subject rights (e.g., access, rectification, deletion)
  • Certifications such as CIPP/E, CISSP, CDPO, or equivalent
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Leadership abilities to inspire teams and drive compliance initiatives
