Position Description

Media Planner DACH is responsible for the planning, execution and tracking of media activities in DACH with the focus on digital direct to customer / end consumer activities.

Duties

Media Planning

  • Responsible for the full media process across the DACH region, encompassing both planning and performance tracking
  • Collaborate with Brand Managers to translate local brand strategies into effective media initiatives, ensuring alignment with overall marketing and business objectives across all media channels
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the media agency, providing clear briefs, challenging and maintaining a strong working relationship to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Share best practices and continuously align with the INT / global Digital teams as well as the other affiliates to leverage global insights and maintain consistency in strategy and messaging
  • Align off-site media plans with on-site / retail media measures in close collaboration with the ecommerce team
  • Conduct joint media reviews with Head of Marketing, Brand managers, Ecommerce Team, media agencies and further stakeholders

Campaign Tracking

  • Continuously analyze media and campaign performance, identifying areas for improvement and maximizing return on investment
  • Define Campaign KPIs according to the budget and brand strategies in collaboration with the media agency
  • Advise Brand / Marketing managers on the most effective budget allocation across the campaign measures
  • Ensure efficient reporting to the management on campaign performance

Operations / other activities

  • Social media community management in accordance with social media / PV guidelines and brand guides
  • Monitor media trends and new technologies
  • Duties can also encompass further projects and activities in the areas adjacent to media planning and execution

Qualification

Skills / Capabilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and leading high performing digital programs as well as in oversight of agencies & partners.
  • Certifications in / experienced in GD360, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager
  • Proven track record in Programmatic Media Buying; experience in retail media and Amazon advertising preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Effective collaborator, experienced working in cross-functional teams
  • Project experience, ability to lead without authority
  • Customer focus and ownership mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to set priorities and work on multiple tasks or projects

Education / work experience:

  • 5+ years working experience in marketing or related areas
  • 2+ years of experience in planning, development and execution of digital DTC media campaigns (either agency or client side)
  • Experience in the FMCG environment preferred
  • University level degree in Business or comparable education
  • Fluent in German and English
