DHL Express is hiring a Controlling, Int. Cont. & PM Head to join its Shared Service Center, Heredia, Costa Rica team. Performing all financial controlling, internal controls and performance management related tasks for the SSC in Americas covering all service lines in it. The main goal is to reduce financial cost / risk impact and to increase value creation for the express.

The role profile consist of:

· Representing the CFO function in SSC Americas SMT

· Ensuring high quality of the analyses in regular reporting and in BCAs,

· Preparation of targets / budgets,

· Managing and leading the dedicated controlling team as well as

· Performing BP communications regarding SLAs and monthly reporting on income development.

Leading Performance Management as well as the Internal Control team consisting of:

· Management of the SLA process, including reporting and adhoc SLA analysis,

· Implement and develop Quality and Efficiency KPI’s and volume tracking, ensure data integrity and uniformity, evaluate and identify cost saving opportunities by analyzing KPI trends,

· Managing the team and team performance,

· Work closely with SL Operation teams to find improvement opportunities/ efficiencies

· Ensuring compliance and adherence to all DPDHL/ DHL Express guidelines as well as the CRISP framework

Additional tasks and accountabilities include but are not limited to:

· Reporting and analyzing financial and statistical performance of the Service Entities / Service Line.

· Monthly Reporting and quarterly BRM process including volume and KPI (efficiency and quality) as well as project / initiatives applications and tracking.

· Financial controlling: Cost/ Income/ EBIT/ KPI/ Cash flow/ FTE.

· Budgeting and Forecasting of costs and revenue.

· Compliance with Tax guidelines and governing fiscal and internal regulations.

· Proper preparation of decision making processes by a solid Business Case Scenario analysis

· Reporting of Capacity development and FC.

· ABC-Model with Unit cost calculation and pricing.

· Support of local SMT, CFOs on Regional and Cluster level

· Providing operational guidance and support utilizing key metrics and statistical analysis.

· Management of regional SLA process incl. contracts, pricing, SLA KPIs, reporting, communication;

· Management of Internal and external audits as well as statutory accounts

· Support of the main projects of the Service Lines regarding all financial issues

· Controlling guidance to countries

· Ensuring compliance with DP DHL / Express guidelines and IFRS

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in controlling or accounting with manager or Lead.

  • University degree with a major in Finance, Economy, MBA or equivalent.

  • Prior experience in SSC operations with expertise in designing, implementing, and supervising internal control frameworks.

  • High competency in Financial Controlling / Accounting

  • Proven experience in managing executive teams.

  • Experience in operational management analysis and decision making

  • Knowledge and experience in the application of ensuring compliance with DP DHL / Express guidelines and IFRS.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish is mandatory
