Description:

We are currently recruiting a Contract Manager within our Sustainability Business to support North America and broader Americas operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in enabling business growth, managing risk exposure, and ensuring effective and compliant contract delivery across the region.

You will be part of our Global Contracting Function, working closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Client Management, Operations, Legal, Finance, and Risk, while navigating a complex and fast-paced contracting environment.

What will you do:

  • Provide market-leading contractual support to SB's Americas business, to facilitate growth while managing commercial and legal risk.
  • Lead and support the end-to-end contracting process, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, amending, and approving a wide range of commercial agreements.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Client Management teams, acting as a trusted commercial advisor and enabling timely, customer-aligned deal execution.
  • Identify, assess, and clearly articulate commercial and contractual risks, proposing pragmatic mitigations aligned with Schneider Electric's governance and risk appetite.
  • Present risk assessments, recommendations, and decision points to senior SB leadership to support informed, data-driven decision making.
  • Negotiate contracts collaboratively with customers to achieve balanced, sustainable, and commercially viable outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for contractual issues and disputes within the region, driving effective and timely resolution.
  • Champion and explain contractual requirements, policies, and positions to both internal and external stakeholders in clear, practical terms.
  • Drive standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement in contracting tools, templates, processes, and controls.
  • Deliver training and coaching to sales teams, client leads, and new colleagues, simplifying complex contractual concepts and reinforcing compliance.
  • Act as a digital and data advocate, owning or contributing to KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics that measure contracting efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, operational excellence, and change leadership.

What will make you successful:
  • Demonstrated track record in managing complex contracts with customers, vendors, and partners
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities for risk assessment and mitigation
  • Outstanding negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years' experience in contract management, commercial operations, or sales contract preparation, review, and negotiation.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. Portuguese desirable
  • Experience supporting contracts and familiarity with commercial practices is strongly preferred.
  • Legal qualification is not required, though legal or contractual training is an advantage.
  • Strong communicator capable of interacting with senior management, executive sponsors, customer legal teams, procurement, and cross-functional partners.
  • A values-driven individual who inspires trust and influences stakeholders through collaboration and credibility.
  • Demonstrates high standards of quality, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurial, results-oriented mindset with a "can-do" attitude, able to work autonomously and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Comfortable operating in a multinational, multicultural, and matrixed environment.
  • Experience or interest in energy, sustainability, ESG, or professional services is an advantage, but not required.
