WAVE is currently looking for a day shift Painter to join our team!

Shift: 5am - 1pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Wear specialized PPE, such as PAPR hood and paint suit, heat protective gloves, etc.
• Report for work on time every day and complete a full shift
• Stand for extended periods of time and safely lift up to 40 pounds
• Set up equipment and paint in paint booth
• Make adjustments as necessary to ensure quality, defect-free paint application
• Check parts of paint booth for wear, malfunction and replace as needed
• Paint and coat through manual spraying, ensuring quality
• Troubleshoot paint equipment (Nordson)
• Prepare and hang aluminum extrusion and clips for powder-coat painting
• Complete required paint cell documentation
• Visually inspect and report defects
• Push racks into and remove racks from curing oven
• Flexible/adaptable to assignment changes, will jump in when help is needed, learn new things and back-up other areas as needed
• Successfully pass drug screen, background check and pre-placement physical
• Work overtime as needed, even if not scheduled in advance
• Experience in a fast-paced, high performance manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing, 6S, Six Sigma, preferred
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred; Knowledge and experience of machinery in manufacturing environment or similar.
• Preferred; Experience with LEAN manufacturing, 6S, Six Sigma.
• Preferred; Experience in a fast-paced, high performance manufacturing environment.
• Able to lift a maximum of 40 pounds
• Able to stand 8-10 hours per day at assigned work area
• Background check required
