Responsibilities include providing direct patient care to a variety of diagnostic categories and supervising rehabilitation technicians, volunteers, and students. Caseloads may consist of adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. The person in this position will function as a generalist while developing a specialization in a clinical area of interest.< /p> < p> < br /> < b> Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: < /b> < br /> < br /> < b> Patient Treatment: < /b> < /p> < ul> < li> Implements treatment plan utilizing current theory and practice; works towards established goals; modifies goals and treatment plan as necessary and indicated.< /li> < li> Documents treatment plan according to department policy and bills for services.< /li> < li> Coordinates appropriate follow up post discharge from care.< /li> < /ul> < br /> < br /> < p> < b> Patient Assessment: < /b> < /p> < ul> < li> Performs functions related to patient evaluation/re-evaluation, goal setting, and discharge planning according to department policy and procedures.< /li> < li> Documents findings according to department policy and bills for services. Ensures findings are shared with appropriate individuals and provides necessary follow up.< /li> < /ul> < br /> < br /> < p> < b> Education: < /b> < /p> < ul> < li> Provides a positive learning environment for observers, volunteers, students, and co-workers.< /li> < li> Willingly accepts learners and ensures learning objectives are achieved. Provides learning opportunities for department staff on topics related to clinical specialty.< /li> < /ul> < br /> < br /> < p> < b> Productivity: < /b> < /p> < ul> < li> Meets departmental productivity standards.< /li> < li> Takes initiative to insure that established productivity standard is met on an ongoing and regular basis.< /li> < li> Takes an active role in servicing patients with immediate needs.< /li> < li> Documents productivity in a timely manner.
