Operating Room RN

This full‑time perioperative nursing role (Mon–Fri, 6: 45am–7: 15pm with call) provides safe, individualized care to surgical patients as part of an interdisciplinary team. The RN uses the full nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to support patients before, during, and after procedures. The position emphasizes evidence‑based practice, strong clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and effective communication with patients, families, surgeons, and anesthesia providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered perioperative care
• Apply evidence‑based practice and critical thinking in all phases of surgery
• Collaborate with the surgical team and maintain accurate documentation
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and quality improvement
• Serve as a mentor or preceptor to support staff development
• Follow clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical nursing practice
• Use resources efficiently and help develop protocols that improve outcomes

Requirements

• Active RN license (single‑state or compact)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred
• Minimum 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience
