Description:

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) — Float Team (Day Shift)


This role is part of a dynamic float pool that provides Physical Therapy support across multiple facilities. The Physical Therapist Assistant delivers hands‑on, patient‑centered care under the direction of a Physical Therapist, helping patients improve mobility, strength, and overall function. Each day offers variety, flexibility, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in different clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities


Patient Care
• Provide therapeutic interventions based on individualized treatment plans
• Assist patients in achieving mobility and functional goals
• Educate and support patients and families on exercises, equipment, and progress
• Document patient status, progress, and next steps

Collaboration & Support
• Work closely with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams
• Serve as a resource for rehabilitation services and equipment
• Adapt to different units and patient populations as part of the float team
Professionalism & Service
• Deliver compassionate, high‑quality care
• Maintain accountability, strong communication, and a positive patient experience

Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma and an Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensure: Licensed PTA; BLS certification required
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical PTA experience
• Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and basic computer proficiency
