View Point Health Job Title: Director, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Services Job Code: AO117 - Director Shift: Full-Time (40 hours per week on average) Job Hours: Times May Vary Base Location: Clayton County Division/Department/Program: Intellectual & Developmental Disability (IDD) Services Full-time X Part-time PRN/Hourly Exempt X Nonexempt The Director of IDD Services provides strategic, operational, and administrative leadership for all Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) programs and services within Clayton County. Reporting to the Senior Director of IDD Services, the Director oversees the delivery of high-quality, person-centered services across Day Programs, Community Living Arrangements (Residential Services), Supported Employment, Community Living Support (CLS), Community Access, Family Support Services, and other IDD programs and supports. The Director is responsible for ensuring that all services are delivered in accordance with person-centered values, Georgia DBHDD standards and Medicaid requirements, organizational policies, and industry best practices. This position leads efforts to achieve program goals, implement strategic initiatives, promote continuous quality improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability. The Director ensures adherence to accreditation standards and monitors use of evidence-based practices and informed models that support positive outcomes, community integration, health, safety, self-determination, and quality of life for individuals. Duties & Responsibilities: Direct supervision, coaching and training of Program Managers and assigned staff Provide leadership and oversight for IDD programs within Clayton County. Lead quality assurance, performance improvement, and risk management activities. Oversee audits, inspections, licensing reviews, and implementation of corrective action plans. Monitor program outcomes, participant satisfaction, and service quality indicators. Manage program budgets, resource allocation, and conduct program needs assessments to identify gaps Develop partnerships with families, stakeholders, providers, and community organizations. Ensure health, safety, HIPAA compliance, and incident management requirements are met. Lead workforce development, training, coaching, and performance management activities. Collaborate with the Senior Director of IDD Services and other VPH leaders on service expansion and operational initiatives. Ensure services delivery is person-centered, promoting choice, independence, and community inclusion. Monitor service delivery to ensure person-centered practices and promoting choice, independence, and community inclusion. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards to maintain readiness for external reviews not limited to: DBHDD, DCH-Medicaid COMP/NOW & HCBS rules, NADD, CCBHC, HFR. Ensure staff training meets regulations and organizational requirements Develop, review, and revise policies and standard operating procedures as needed Communicates with clarity, consistency, and transparency, engaging staff to drive accountability, commitment, and sustainable results. Serve as liaison with DBHDD regional offices and state leadership. Engage with county stakeholders to ensure alignment with local needs and VPH priorities. Additional Functions include: On-call responsibilities for urgent health or safety issues Collaborate with VPH leadership for strategic planning activities Participates in external meetings, agency committees, initiatives and/or special projects and tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in IDD, behavioral health, or related services. Note: An equivalent combination of knowledge, education, job or intern experience, training, or certification that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully perform the job at the level listed may be substituted year over year. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with dual diagnosis (IDD and mental health conditions) Strong knowledge of DBHDD, CARF, HFR, NADD standards and COMP/NOW Waiver and HCBS regulations. Requirements/Competencies: Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Requires long periods of sitting/standing. Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy. Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting) Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Ability to travel across program sites and respond to on-call or urgent clinical situations as needed Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
