Commissary Supervisor

Job Summary:

Supervisor is responsible for monitoring the lines of services provided at their station which include Ramp Operations, Customer Service, Cabin and any other lines of services provided. Responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of agents to ensure safe and effective operations.

Job Duties:

• Supervises and coordinates daily activities of employees to ensure safe and effective operations.

• Greets crew members, flight attendants, and passengers in a friendly and courteous manner.

• Drives/safely operates catering equipment and vehicles. Loads and unloads aircraft supplies to and from high lift catering trucks. Uses and works from lift equipment to heights at approximately 40 feet to service aircraft.

• Audits and replenishes inventory to ensure an adequate supply of items needed to service aircraft.

• Maintains catering log and records under company procedures.

• Fuels trucks and performs daily safety checks under safety policies and OSHA regulations. Maintains the interior and exterior cleanliness of the catering trucks.

• Ensures catering areas are kept organized and clean at all times.

• Ships and receives supply orders; restocks inventory daily.

• Wash dishes and equipment as required.

• Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Possess a driving license.

• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.

• Two years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Four years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to constantly lift, move up to 70 lbs, push, pull; and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, grasp outwards and bend.

Working conditions:

• Must be able to work rotating shifts and hours, nights, weekends and holidays, overtime.

• Must be able and open to work in outside weather conditions which may include severe seasonal elements.
