Description:
The Lab Maintenance & Facilities Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and supporting all laboratory equipment and facility systems, with an emphasis on repairs, parts inventory, and preventative maintenance in alignment with ISO 17025 and UL compliance standards. This role also oversees general building and utility needs, identifying requirements for repairs, modifications, and improvements related to mechanical, electrical, and facility design.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. It may provide guidance to contractors or vendors as needed.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional lab and office environment. This role routinely uses highly specialized lab equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copiers. This employee may be exposed to noise, dust and some chemicals, requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and non-skid shoes.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand, and hear. This employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds. The employee may be required to work in close quarters, crawl spaces, small-enclosed rooms, and other areas that could cause claustrophobia. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. May be exposed to heat, flame, chemicals, and noise.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8: 00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency response outside of scheduled hours may be required based on operational needs.
Travel
This position requires little to no travel. If travel is required, it will be within the local area or to other plant locations.
