Schedule: Monday - Friday 6: 00am - 2: 30pm with possible OT (on Saturdays)

Responsibilities:

  • Work from manuals, OEM advice and consultations and instructions to repair machinery and the physical plant.
  • Inspect machinery and equipment for defects.
  • Dismantle machinery and equipment to gain access to defective parts and repair.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys and other parts.
  • Keep clean and organize the maintenance room.
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and other equipment and repair or replace wiring and fixtures.
  • Rebuild spare components, tag them identifying the equipment and date.
  • Help to create and follow preventive maintenance schedules and identify where additional work is required. Keep log of all repairs, date, type of repair, symptoms, and source used to locate parts or services.
  • Welding fabrication and repair to equipment as needed.
  • Hydraulics - replacing valve, pumps, couplings, and troubleshooting.
  • Help source parts as needed.
  • Electric motors - replacing motors, troubleshooting schematics.
  • Pneumatics - troubleshooting problem with pneumatic valves replacing hoses preventive maintenance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment
  • Record all repairs and PM’s activities accurately in maintenance book by machine
  • Insure all safety lock out/tag out procedures are followed
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in the maintenance area and after completion of each repair.
  • Responsible for parts inventory while making sure management knows what needs to be ordered
  • Must have general knowledge of how to read blueprints, machine drawing, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
  • Strong industrial maintenance dealing with pneumatic, and electrical experience
  • Experience rebuilding pumps, cylinders, valves and regulators
  • Sense of urgency when machines break down
  • Follow all plant safety rules and regulations, wear PPE as required per procedures

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of, and proper, safe use of common trade tools as needed, and material handling equipment is required.
  • Knowledge and possession of tools.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, amp probes, micrometer, caliber etc.

Physical Demand:

  • Ability to spend 80% of the day standing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs (22.7kg) maximum occasionally with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs (11.3kg).
