About the Role: This position requires on site assignments. Candidates must live within commute distance to the work location. The Senior Engineering Technician plays a critical role in supporting engineering projects by providing advanced technical expertise and hands-on assistance throughout the project lifecycle. This position is responsible for interpreting engineering designs, preparing detailed technical documentation, and ensuring that all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations. The role involves collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, optimize processes, and implement innovative solutions. The Senior Engineering Technician also mentors junior technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team. Ultimately, this position ensures the successful execution of engineering tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency and quality of service delivery within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications: - Associate degree or equivalent technical certification in engineering technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering technician role, preferably within the services industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to use engineering tools and software relevant to the field.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related discipline.
- Experience with CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Familiarity with project management principles and software.
- Certification from recognized professional bodies such as NATE (National Association of Technical Engineers) or equivalent.
- Previous experience mentoring or supervising technical staff.
Responsibilities: - Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to support project requirements.
- Conduct detailed inspections, tests, and measurements to verify the accuracy and quality of engineering work.
- Assist in the design, development, and modification of equipment, systems, and processes.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to resolve complex technical issues and implement improvements.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical reports, documentation, and records in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and provide guidance to junior technicians, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment for projects.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.
Skills: The Senior Engineering Technician utilizes strong analytical skills daily to interpret complex technical documents and ensure precise execution of engineering tasks. Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with engineers, vendors, and team members, as well as for preparing clear and detailed technical reports.
