Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Engineerto join our Engineering CX organization. This role will be based in Atlanta, GA and will collaborate closely with teams in Salt Lake City and Pune, maintaining reasonable overlapping hours. The Lead Data Engineer will guide major data initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive forward our evolving data strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead endtoend design and execution of largescale data engineering initiatives.
  • Partner closely with crossfunctional teams, including Engineering, Analytics, and Data Governance.
  • Architect robust data solutions aligned with the company's strategic direction in data federation, semantic layers, and data governance.
  • Ensure high reliability, performance, and scalability across all data platforms.
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to senior and junior data engineers.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership (including VP-level stakeholders) throughout the hiring and delivery lifecycle.
  • Champion best practices, emerging technologies, and modern AIdriven development workflows.

Required Technical Background
  • Strong expertise with Snowflake (highest priority).
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, Flink, Spark, and Airflow.
  • Experience with semantic layers (e.g., Cube).
  • Experience with federated data layers (e.g., Trino).
  • Knowledge of distributed systems and modern data engineering patterns.
  • Proficiency with AI tools supporting data engineering workflows.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience leading engineering teams or technical programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement enterprise-grade data solutions.
  • Strong learning orientation and enthusiasm for emerging technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and drive execution across distributed teams.
