We are in search of an Accounting Learning and Development Leader that will be responsible for working across the Controller organization throughout Koch to create, develop and implement a functional learning journey for those joining an accounting role across Koch.

As the Accounting Learning and Development Leader, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining learning and development programs focused on accounting functions across the Koch organization. You will collaborate and work closely with key stakeholders to assess learning needs, develop curriculum, and deliver training initiatives that align with our business objectives and foster the continuous learning of our accounting professionals. The ideal candidate possesses a strong enthusiasm for adult learning and excels in a proactive, detail-oriented approach, even in a fast-paced setting.

Our Team

As a member of the Controller's organization, you will have the opportunity to design, implement, and maintain learning and development programs focused on accounting functions across the Koch organization. This key role will create value by assessing learning needs, developing curriculum, and delivering training to an organization that is changing and transforming rapidly.

What You Will Do
  • Assess the training needs of the accounting team company wide and develop training programs (both virtual and in-person) to address those needs.
  • Assess the skills of the future that will be needed and develop learning strategies to close those gaps in our current workforce. Stay current with the latest industry trends and developments in accounting and learning and incorporate into training programs.
  • Develop comprehensive learning and development strategies, programs and resources tailored to meet the specific needs of the controller organization
  • Collaborate with Principle Based Management (PBM) other internal teams to ensure that training programs align with PBM and leverage other internal learnings that already exist.
  • Organize and deliver training programs to accounting professionals, using a variety of methods including in-person training, online training, and on-the-job training.
  • Identify and leverage external learning resources and partnerships, when applicable, to ensure learning offers are relevant, strategic, and can create ongoing competitive advantage.
  • Project manage and coordinate learning work streams taking place simultaneously
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements.
  • Mentor and coach accounting professionals to support their ongoing growth and development.
  • Oversee accounting-related educational programs including CPA, CGMA, and CMA certification policies, educational reimbursement programs, and other continuing education offerings.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in creating, developing or delivering training programs in person and virtually.
  • Experience communicating, presenting and facilitating with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic learning creation experience to support the goals of a business
