Mechanical Technician

What We Are Looking For

Maintains and repairs mechanical equipment in assigned geographical area.

What You Will Do

• Install, maintain, trouble-shoot, and repair all pipeline related equipment (Valves, Pumps, Electric valve actuators, Turbine meters, Tanks, etc).
• Calibrate mechanical pressure gauges.
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Budget and procure parts and tools when necessary.
• Provide assistance in repairs, maintenance, and operation of all equipment and right of way.
• Participates in the training of O & M Personnel.
• May be required to handle basic electrical, right of way, operational, and general maintenance duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Need

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's license.
• Sufficient relevant experience and mechanical technician related work experience in an industrial environment to satisfactorily perform job.
• Sufficient on the job experience performing mechanical technician related duties in an industrial environment to be able to do job.
• Good technical and analytical ability.
• Physically able to carry out job requirements.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written communications.
• Ability to accept supervision and direction and to work efficiently and cooperatively with other people.
• Must be able and willing to work overtime and to respond to callouts to perform work as needed.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing 50 pounds or more.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or four year Mechanical Technology degree/certificate or equivalent desired.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work outside and inside in all weather conditions.
