Position Summary:

As K-C accelerates growth through innovation, this role is responsible for leading and continuously improving K-C’s technical platform innovation effectiveness through robust portfolio management, actionable portfolio insights that enable strong decision making and prioritization, advanced analysis and reporting, and digital systems that empower teams and build transparency.

This position reports to the Head of Science & Technology or Sr. Dir R& D Strategy & Operations.

Key Customers:

The position requires a strong relationship and partnership with R& D Innovation Capability Teams, Product Steward Teams, central R& D leaders, GGO Innovation Accelerator, and Business Unit R& D staff (KCNA, IPC, and FCP), regional sector leads, regional portfolio managers, DTS, and finance.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Technology Platform Innovation portfolio management including key performance indicators, innovation effectiveness analysis, diagnosis of key drivers and insights and analytics to ensure priority demand spaces, innovation velocity, moonshots, and dig sites are all being satisfied, and gaps are being discussed.
  • Ensure technical platform portfolio health to deliver our growth aspiration by advancing innovation pipeline.
    • Right innovation pipeline (sufficiency)
    • Right resourcing / prioritized
    • Moonshot accelerator on track to deliver
  • Report innovation dashboards with metrics, key drivers, compelling visuals, and analytical insights to senior leaders as well as provide updates to be used for quarterly ELT discussions.
  • Align ICT leaders, PST leaders, and Tech Directors on innovation technical platforms to enable Sector Innovation Strategies, BU Priorities, and fulfill prioritize consumer demand spaces.
  • System owner for technical platform innovation Ecosystem for measurement and reporting. Identity optimization opportunities, implement next generation system(s), conduct training
  • Lead the definition and development of next generation Tech Platform Innovation capabilities
  • Participate in development of strategy and technology development proposals
  • Ensure integration and alignment of new processes, digital tools, and wiring to ensure an efficient and effective organization.
  • Translate technology platforms into compelling business case and visuals to communicate across various stakeholder levels and accelerate pull into segment innovation pipelines.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel up to 10% of the work time domestic and international.
  • Work is completed in both an office environment and home office.
  • Role is base preferably based in K-C Neenah, WI or Roswell, GA USA

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in areas of business, science, engineering, data science, data analytics, or other related fields.
  • A minimum of 10 years R& D leadership, strategy, marketing, and business case development in global and regional roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
  • 15 years R& D leadership, strategy, marketing, and business case development in global and regional roles.
  • Product Development and Innovation experience
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Understanding of “best in class” Training & Data Management (i.e. systems, tools, processes)
  • Collaborative, responsive, action-oriented and innovative problem solver
  • Strong track record of successful team management (internal and external) and delivering business results
  • Strong track record of developing talent on teams
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence senior leaders and peers on key business goals and projects through informal leadership settings, inspiring and motivating working teams through times of change and turbulence
  • Strong ability to analyze problems, interpret operational needs, and advise and/or develop integrated solutions.
  • Strong team leadership to organize and structure teams and responsibilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and ability to collaborate and build relationships with all functions and levels of an organization, internal and external.
  • Demonstrated experience advancing the long-term agenda, while executing on short-term plans and initiatives.
  • Able to influence and engage across multiple levels of the organization

Salary Range: $158, 000 - $195, 000 USD
