IT Application Specialist (AI Focus)

Location: Duluth, GA

Reports to: Director of IT & Cybersecurity

Type: Full-Time

Status: Exempt

Schedule: Hybrid 4 days in-office /1 day remote

Salary: $60, 000 - $73, 500 + Bonus Eligible

IPA is seeking a motivated IT Application Specialist to join our team in an exciting role that bridges traditional IT support with emerging AI technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of IT experience who wants to build expertise in AI while providing essential technical support. You'll learn from experienced professionals while contributing to both daily IT operations and exciting AI initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide frontline technical support for hardware, software, and cloud platforms
  • Assist with implementing AI tools and automation workflows under mentorship
  • Support data preparation and validation for AI projects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues while documenting solutions
  • Help deliver AI tool training and create user documentation
  • Learn and support Salesforce administration with Einstein AI features
  • Monitor AI system performance and report metrics
  • Participate in AI project planning and implementation meetings
  • Ensure security protocols and compliance for both IT and AI systems
  • Partner with departments to identify AI opportunities

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT, or related field
  • 2-3 years of IT support experience with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Introductory exposure to programming (Python, PowerShell, or similar) through coursework, bootcamps, or self-learning
  • Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and ticketing systems
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud concepts
  • Demonstrated interest in AI through coursework, projects, or certifications
  • Ability to write basic scripts or automation tools
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation habits
  • Self-directed learner eager to grow technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical support and AI consulting
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and follow through on resolution in a fast-paced setting
