Are you ready to make a Difference?JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources (HR) Specialist supports the daily operations within the Human Resources Department in the areas of Recruitment, Onboarding, Training, and New Hire Orientation. The HR Specialist will also provide administrative support to the Human Resource Manager, Human Resources Director and the Vice President of Human Resources. The HR Specialist advises and assists employees with human resources policies and procedures for efficient execution of internal processes.
Duties and Responsibilities include: - Assisting with hosting and participating in job fairs.
- Administering drug screens for new hires and existing staff.
- Assisting with management all Job Requisition requests.
- Screening requisitions for qualified candidates.
- Scheduling interviews for hiring events.
- Conducting New Hire Orientation.
- Entering new hire information and existing staff changes in Kronos.
- Completing monthly audits.
- Provides clerical support to the Recruitment and Training departments.
- Instructing training classes for BLS, Mindset and Defensive Driving.
- Understanding of the agency's mission, values, policies and procedures.
- Staying up to date on HR trends, issues and best practices that will benefit the agency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
